Petra Brinch from Askim has served as political advisor in AUF from 2018 til 2020. She also served as advisor in the Norwegian Labour Party's parliamentary group from 2024 until she was appointed political advisor in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

She served as a member of the central board of AUF (October 2022-October 2024), representative of the city council in Askim municipality (2015-2019), representative of the municipal council in Indre Østfold municipality (2019-2023) and representative of the county council of Viken county (2019-2023). 

Brinch has a bachelor's degree in media and communication at the University of Oslo (2020-2023).
