Hans-Petter Aasen has held various positions as Public Prosecutor at the Vestfold, Telemark and Buskerud Public Prosecution Office. Before that, he worked as Police Prosecutor at Oslo Police District and Southeastern Police District, and as a deputy judge.

Aasen has been a justice policy adviser for the Centre Party’s parliamentary party group. He has also been an elected representative in Ringerike Municipality, Buskerud County and Viken County.

Aasen holds a cand.jur. degree from the University of Oslo.
