The section is responsible for music, the performing arts and artist support schemes. The section also has responsibility for oversight of the Arts and Culture Norway and Riksteatret theatre, in addition to management of the Norwegian State’s shareholding in the companies Den Norske Opera & Ballett AS, Nationaltheatret AS, Den Nationale Scene AS, Trøndelag teater AS, Rogaland Teater AS, Carte Blanche AS and Talent Norge AS.
