Press inquiries to the political leadership and the ministry can be directed to the communication unit.

We also assist the press in finding background material and information, and we are responsible for the Ministry of Energy’s pages.

After working hours and on weekends, the duty phone is only staffed to handle urgent matters.

The Ministry of Energy is located at Akersgata 59. Press with an appointment at the ministry or attending a press conference must follow the same rules for ID and baggage check as other visitors: You must bring valid identification. This includes:

  • Passport
  • Norwegian national ID card
  • Ministry of Defense identity card (FD-ID)
  • Valid Norwegian driver’s license (not electronic)
  • European identity cards (Identity card) Baggage rules:
  • You can bring a bag, laptop bag, and small backpack without security check
  • Larger equipment (including camera bags) must go through security check
  • If a security check is needed, it is important that you arrive in good time
